We’re hiring: Social Media Assistant Freelancer

IMAGE Media is looking for a passionate and highly organised Social Media Assistant Freelancer to work with us to support the daily management of our social media channels. If you’re the kind of person who loves a colour-coded spreadsheet and creating a killer carousel in Canva, this is the role for you.

This position is ideal for someone early in their career who is excited about the media world, has a strong eye for design, enjoys working with content and analytics, and thrives on variety and fast-paced days. You’ll work closely with the Social Media Manager, Digital Editor and wider IMAGE team to bring our brand to life across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and X.

About The Role
Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Social Media Manager & Digital Editor

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and publish social content across all IMAGE platforms, with a particular focus on Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Track, analyse and report on performance across all social channels
• Maintain detailed spreadsheets, calendars and reports
• Keep the content calendar up-to-date and help chase deadlines across the team
• Monitor trends and assist in competitor and hashtag research
• Support the Social Media Manager in executing best-in-class digital content strategies
• Liaise with editorial and creative teams to ensure timely asset delivery
• Assist in community management and moderation across all platforms
• Provide admin and organisational support across commercial and editorial campaigns
• Support live content creation on shoot days and at IMAGE events
• Bring creative ideas to the table and be willing to learn and grow in the role

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is…

• A Canva and CapCut pro with strong visual instincts
• Digitally fluent and naturally creative, with a good eye for trends
• A multitasker who stays calm and focused on busy days
• Confident and proactive, not afraid to walk up to a guest and ask for a TikTok or interview
• Detail-oriented, you’ll catch typos and clean up captions before they go live
• Organised, reliable and comfortable juggling content, analytics and admin
• Socially confident and great at communicating, there’s a lot of collaboration in this role
• Comfortable with filming content and basic editing (iPhone, reels, etc.)
• A team player who understands that event days can run outside standard hours
• Comfortable representing the IMAGE brand with professionalism and warmth

Minimum Requirements Before Applying

• Some experience working with social media, either professionally, through internships or your own projects
• Confident using Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite and Google Drive
• Comfortable using spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
• A strong understanding of how to use social analytics tools
• Fluency in English and strong written communication skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves
